Hi,
I'm viewing this webpage and seem like ISO Lo80 setting produces a sharper image as compare to ISO100.. http://www.fotoaparat.cz/image/15569 http://www.fotoaparat.cz/image/15570 http://www.fotoaparat.cz/image/15573 http://www.fotoaparat.cz/image/15574 BTW, anyone can explain these ISO settings.. ISO Lo80 and ISO Hi200.. ISO100 http://www.fotoaparat.cz/image/15567 ISO Lo80 http://www.fotoaparat.cz/image/15568 |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() anyway, from simple understanding, lower iso produce less grains than higher iso, but also have to depend on the brand of film or sensor, like the D7D have less noise on iso200 than iso100. if you understand, iso standard for film, is the measurement of light sensitivity. so technically, iso80 should be less sensitive than iso200, and using in darkness, iso80 need a longer time to expose than iso200, hence a need for tripod, i think that iso80 shot is mounted on tripod, manual focus, remote control triggered or using timer, so the picture appear sharper.

both shot with aperture priority. ISO80 & ISO100 may not be much difference but from the the photos, the shot with ISO80 looks brighter but the shot with ISO100 looks sharper. seems to me the metering is slightly different. zone matching. |

It's just a difference in image contrast due to a different tonal curve being used.
Lo80 is simply a low contrast setting for better shadow details in high contrast situations. |
