Thanks for the info, BTW can it charge other kinds of batter in the same way i.e. Sanyo instead of Sony and how long does it take for a full charge ?

Sony's batteries are repackaged Sanyo OEMs so they are essentially the same thing.

I slow charge my batteries in a Maha charger almost all the time. Funny thing is that the 2300s go thru the same charging and usage conditions as the 2500s but they don't face the same problem. Could it be a manufacturing defect for certain batches of the 2500s?

I face the same problem with my compactdrive.
Right after charging, I put it in the compactdrive, which reports 3 bars of power. I take it out after that, and when I place the same batteries in the next morning (ie 12 hours later), it shows just 1 bar of power, and the Lo flickers after a few seconds of battery activity.

I use Sanyo's own charger, with the refresh button.

I thought I am the only one with this problem... My 2500s died very very fast... if I don't use it for 1 to 2 weeks.. it will go flat.. very flat... However, as mentioned, my 2300s is performing much better.. never had a problem with them...

As for now, any shoot, I will check all batteries... just to be safe...

I had exactly the same issue as u. My 2500 will lose charge very fast by itself, and my 2300 are older and have no such problem. I was going to buy more 2500 but now I stop buying and trying to figure out what went wrong. I usually carry 12pc rechageable in my bag, and it is just not possible to recharge 12pc everytime before I go for shoot.

My 2300mAh and 2100mAh are okay. I still can use them to cover a 2hr event even though the batteries have been charged 1-2weeks before...

I also got these Sanyo 2500mah battries also with the same problem.
I did a simple test charging on 2pcs of Sanyo 2500mah battries together with 2pc of 2500mah Konnoc batteries. After 1 week plus the voltage on the Konnoc measured > 1.3xV but the Sanyo on was about 1.2xV only. Seems like Sanyo batteries losing its juices quite fast.

Just wonder can they be exchange for a new one?

Sanyo max voltage is 1.2v. at this voltage after 1 week, it is still fully charged, right? not bad.

The newer ones are slightly better but I think the batteries that retain charge best is GP.
Sidetrack anybody uses the new Sony 15mins charger and 2500 batteries, how are they?
I am using the Sony 15mins Charger with 2500/2300 batteries, but I am using the model (dun know model name) that supports refresh feature too.

But i would like to clarify that i use batteries not just for my flashes but also other kids toys e.g RC Cars and some fisher price yoyo that needs full chares. So far, i dun face any problem .. maybe it is my workflow on my battery.

I quickcharge regularly but i do refresh at least once a week. Maybe my experience is not accurate.
