Read a lot of post about when older AI / AIs manual lenses used on
D70 or on any of the new DSLR cameras you loose metering capabilities Matrix as well as centre-weighted. Was wondering if there are any accessories ie adaptor rings or some gadget like that to permit at least Centre-Weighted . Thks Koi |

Metering is only available on the pro bodies, like D2*, F5/F6.

THks....anyone do the mod (Adding the CPU) locally.
Looks like no metering, but does the focus lock indicator works with manual focussing. |

Nope.. I think the CPU chip is added by the manufacturers themselves.
![]() As for focus lock, the camera body can only stop the AF motor, but on AF-S glasses we can always override the focusing ring. ![]() |

I use my Ai lenses (from my FM2) on my D70. Metering, no worries, I have my Minolta Light Meter 5 to do all my metering, I think it have better metering perfomance anyway.
Use you LCD to help check exposure, it's digital anyway, take a few trial shots and then shoot. |
