Welcome to the new Nikon Price Guide for 2005~2006.

List maintained by Cactus Jack

Unlike most other threads in the Nikon Forum the Price Guide is not a thread that allows any postings except by the List Maintainer and or Nikon Forum Mods or CS Admin as required.

This has been done to make the price guide as concise and up to date as possible while minimising pointless comments and posts.


Please read and follow the guidelines listed below:

1) NO posting to this thread directly. If you have prices you'd like to be included in the price guide please PM Cactus Jack with your information and he will add it to the list along with appropriate credits etc.

2) The all new Nikon Price Guide 2005 Singapore edition is a guide only. Neither the list maintainer Cactus Jack nor ClubSnap are responsible for any price changes or inaccuracies in the list.

3) Please include in your PM to Cactus Jack your price(s) the date and name of the shop where you got the price. If the price is a promotional price please include the duration of the promotion in your post.

Q: What is the Nikon Price Guide (Singapore) 2005~2006?
A: This is a amalgamation of submissions from fellow CSers (like you) of purchase prices of Nikon equipment in Singapore (SGD prices). Often e-quotes are also updated into the list on the assumption that the reputable stores honour their e-quotes (and this has been the case thus far). To make the list more useful to Nikon users, the list of Nikon products is also augmented with F-mount related products from Sigma, Tamron, Tokina, Kenko, etc.

Q: How often is the Nikon Price Guide (Singapore) 2005~2006 updated?
A: As far as possible, I would try to update the price list as soon as I receive any updates / new prices from fellow CSers. New or Updated prices would be indicated by a *NEW* or *Updated* icon next to them for 7 days.

Q: What do the stated prices mean?
A: Pls take note of the new format and the lagacy old format, as described below (pls note that this is just an example, and might not nec reflect current market prices).

New format Nikon D200 - ($2550~$2650), latest $2580 (shop, date- CSer)

Intepretation of the information after the item description (Nikon D200) reads,
($2550~$2650) – price range, lowest ($2550) and highest ($2650) reported prices
latest $2580 (shop, date - CSer) – latest information provided, not nec lowest or highest, but the latest

Old format Nikon D200 - $2550 (shop, date- CSer)

Intepretation of the information after the item description (Nikon D200) reads,
$2550 (shop, date - CSer) – lowest price reported by CSers

However, please remember that this is a guide ONLY, Although I would try to be diligent in updating the post with price updates provided to me by CSers, I would have to repeat the disclaimer that "ClubSNAP and myself are not responsible for any price changes or inaccuracies in the list" (see guidelines in post #1).

Q: Why do some items have 2 or more prices?
A: This is because they are differentiated goods. The usual scenario here is that of a grey set (no official local warranty) vs. non-grey set (with official local warranty). Other examples would include goods with extended warranty or package deals (with "free" gifts).

just a quick update to the nikon price guide. with the growing number of product prices report... thanks to all the supportive nikon-fans in CS... the list is invariably growing. just like how we previously had to move from the single post list to the 3-section list, we are now expanding to 5 -

hi all, after a little under 2-yrs as the price guide maintainer, i'm "retiring" and handing the reins over to Yatlapball.

i would just like to thank all the CSers who have contributed to the 2005~2007 list, you have made the guide possible. i counted 198 contributors and over 140 nikon (and related) items.

i would also like to extend my thanks to the nikon mods, ian and chngpe01 for their support. also the collaboration with otega, hommie, and yqt with their price list and shop listings.

finally, would like to wish Yatlapball best wishes with the new price New Nikon Price Guide (Singapore) 2007
