All pics taken with Canon A95, with Inon D-180s , with light post editing with the given canon software.

hi stonefish, finally get to see some of your works.
exposures are ok. except for the 2 clownfish photos. a little too overexposed on the fishes. also the clowns are not in focus. try using a faster shutter speed and/or take multiple shots of them so that at least on pic of the clowns would be in focus. the harder way is to use manual focus. den again, taking moving fish is difficult with the slow focusing speeds and shutter lag of prosumer cams. for the croc fish, you might wanna try taking from the front, at eye level to give it more "in your face" and "wow" factor. landscape shots' colours are a little muted. you can try boosting the contrast and saturation. overall good try. hope to dive and shoot with you soon. |

Thanks for the pointers Uginz. Actually taken using manual mode
. 1st time using strobe and not familar with balancing shutter speed, aperture and strobe power. The crocodile fish, actually I was afraid to get too near to it as it had been disturbed by our presence and got itself out of its camouflaged position, to settle down in this position, 1m away. Thats why I kept my distance and dare not get too close to it. especially the head as I'm not too sure if they bite. Anyway thanks for the advise. Will keep that in mind. Hope to dive and shoot with you some day too. ![]() |

icic. but doesn't 180s have TTL?
anyway, another method to check your exposure is to use the histogram from your camera. quite helpful to tell if the pic is over or under exposed. you can set it to be displayed when you review your images. |

Nope,Inon D 180s does not have TTL. Btw the histograph can only be viewed when reviewing the pics, but not when shooting
. Guess need to review the pic taken and adjust according before shooting again lor. |
