Default ADI with 5D's kit lens?

Hi there.

I hope I don't sound stupid asking these question...

I was reading thru the difference between TTL and ADI and found a quote saying ADI works only if we use 'D' lenses.

Looking at the D5 kit lens, it is labeled 'DT'. Based on that, does it mean it's still a 'D' lens and is compatible with ADI?

I'm using 5D with 3600 HS(D). Is ADI used if we use only the popup flash?

The kit lens is a (D) lens. See this page for reference on Minolta lenses.
To use ADI, you have to set the camera flash mode to ADI instead of Pre-TTL.

So far, the pop up flash is working better the the ext flash when i use them. But will only be able to work in the 4 meter range. and yes , all the 3 new DT lenses have the (D) function. I think theres no point Minolta will come out with a new lens without it.
