Default Use what object to test the len's capability?

Assume walk into a camera shop and wish to try out a few len, wat object is normally the best to test shot on so as to see the diff clearly? THanks.

Follow this link. It is a complete testing guide for checking front and back focus issues. It can also be used for sharpness.
