Quite disappointing today the costumes not as colour/flamboyant as the previous
Testing out my new gear Km5d taken with kit lens 18-70mm with built in flash just resizing & colour correction done ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

good exposure, much better than my mostly over expose shots. Though youwould use the 75-300mm instead.
Problem is with the build in flash, can see strong shadow, really need a 5600 plus bracket for this kind of shoot.

the 18-70mm is good enough for me cos the built in flash also not that far reaching...will use the 70-300mm only when i got my 3600hsd or 5600hsd all the pics are cropped

you kena the "buy buy buy" virus also, haha.
same here, almost all my photos need crop on 9 Sept. That why I wonder why you didn't try the 70-300mm, did you tried and the build in flash was not strong enough?

i use only +1ve for flash...and already find it quite bright liao just that the flash cyclic rate not to my satisfaction i never bring the long zoom with me ...thought kit is all i need liao...today not so bad unlike the previous shoot ..there no barrier...can go close up ![]() tmr will go for another try ![]()

Should have carry your 70-300mm and take closer shots and concentrate
on the model eyes and facial expressions instead. The background is a bit distracting. Try to zoom in more and use the biggest aperture to get a shallow DOF. Else, you can try not to use flash, but make use of the spotlight and let the rest of background be darker. Maybe will join u later at Bugis, if u are going down. ![]() |
