5D raw test on PS CS2

just playing with 5D raw files with photoshop...
PS bring more detail than Jpeg fine out from camera...

PS (custom WB n exposure, +10 saturation, all auto n default setting in PS)

out of camera jpeg too much noise reduction....
clean but detail's gone...
PS is noisy, but great detail...

Thanks for sharing this information. How did you get CS2 to open the MRW format? The supplied software is really slow.

Just open the file as per normal. CS2 can read .mrw file.

Thanks Lifeworld. That is strange. When I try to open the Raw from 5D, it tells me "could not complete the request because it is not the right kind of files".

I installed a Plug in from http://www.dalibor.cz/minolta/plugin.htm (Demo version) than Only I could see the file. Hardly shoot Raw but have been considering the purchase of this plug in. I have installed the latest Camera RAw from Adobe but still the same. Will try again. thanks.

edit raw plug in with Hex Editor. change Maxxum 7D with Dynax 5D, now PS CS2 can open 5D RAW...
(read someone post on Dpreview forum before)

Irfanview... FOC, but performance in viewing MRW rather slow, at least on my P4 2.4Ghz.

You may want try another popular Raw converter at http://www.pixmantec.com/index2.html

Got it working for 5D Raw file.

Use the Hex Editor on the RawShooter.exe. and search for Dynax/maxxum 7D and change it to 5D (twice).
