A bit over expose, is it due to the spot light ?

I was there the only one shooting with D50 from my range of vision.

most are over expose , some are due to spot light, some due to other photographer flash, and my own mistakes also, as I was shooting using M mode.

18-70mm kit lens. Most photos need cropping as it was too far. Need to get a zoom lens soon. Buy Buy Buy!

See your shots EXIF info, most are shot with 1/40s and 1/50s.
This shutter speed is too slow. Since the models are walking very fast, high chances
of motion blur. Increase your shutter speed will help to prevent overexpose and also
help to freeze the action and make them sharper.

make the mistake of using M mode, didn't know the spot light and other flash can be so strong

Hi, suggestions....change to shutter priority...increase the speed to say 1/200 with iso 800...use flash when necessary...especially when the subject is not in the spotlight...Cheers!
