Can this be the sensor to be used in the upcoming 7D-II ?
Sign of they are very close to DSLR http://www.dpreview.com/articles/sonydscr1/ This can be a nice travelling camera, CZ lens with low noise sensor |

Hmm... D7D II just might be the minolta DSLR I am waiting for if they do come out with a 8mp anti-shake body at an attractive price...

Not looking for faster AF speed as most of the DSLR are fast enough for my purpose... Mostly I take my time to take pics.. Better AF accuracy would be good, better off shoe ratio flash accuracy and flexibility(Nikon's flash system is fantastic)... plus a more attractive price, as I found the current D7D over priced... Hope they price is as attractively as they did for their entry level DSLR D5D...

Think there might be another very similar sensor to this one too, for the Nikon D200 (which will be slightly bigger for 1.5X)....since Nikon already started using Sony CMOS. This 10.8MP sensor is a wee bit smaller than Canon or Nikon chips.
One thing anything > 10MP is that processing RAW stuff takes a fair bit of time if you are shooting a lot. And not to mention PC speeds have been fairly stagnating for quite a while. |
