MO: Laptop Hard Disks - Indication of Interest (For your xdrive?)
This thread is a preliminary thread so I can gather how many are interested in getting a laptop harddrive for their new xdrive or otherwise.
I am looking at the IBM 20GB 4200RPM model, it would seem to me that it offers the greatest value. Its selling at simlim square for about $160, so I would aim to cut the cost by at least $20 by negotiating for a bulk purchase. This thread is to find out how many people are actually interested in this. Hopefully, many people (maybe 20 or more?) will want to join in. The more units ordered, the greater leveraging power I have to reduce the cost. Note that I will NOT profit from this, and I will get the shop to issue individual reciepts. Don't hesitate, indicate your interest NOW! We don't want to wait too long for this, would we?  Thanks. Interested Parties |

Just some pointers...
Get the newer models > the 40GN perhaps?
And make sure that you get 3 years version... Some of the sellers may be selling those OEM versions (which are supposingly 1 year, and warranty is via themselves and not IBM). |

Erm we bought the IBM 40GN 20gb for $153 each at storage studio last saturday, they even help us to format the hdd on the spot...

I think most of the xdrive buyers have hardisks before they buy the xdrives. I have one before I bought also. Therefore, it depends on how many buyers that do not have the hardisk. Actually laptop hardisks are quite common nowadays. Anyway, good luck! and get some good bargain hardisks! |
