Personally, 17" CRT is my 1st choice.

I am using both a CRT and LCD. Personally, i prefer CRT when it comes to editing Photoshop

currently using Samsung SyncMaster 920T Silver 19" LCD Monitor. It has a colour depth of 16.7 Million Colors (24-bit) and I find it to produce excellent colour. ~S$800

Harddisk: Western Digital - Raptor with 10,000rpm SATA150 HDD

RAM: Use high speed rams that is able to run at 2-2-2-5.

    Kelv,

    PowerPC G5 + OS X with 8GB RAM + 30" Apple Cinema Display

    Should solve all your problems

If you really need speed, consider running SCSI drives if you go for PC systems.

Woot! 920T! I'm using the 910T, 24bit panel also, the contrast ratio is 1000:1, ideal for PS work

Nah, don't worry about it, don't want to get in the way of your busy schedule.
