Default KM 5D command dial

With just one command dial on the 5D, I am just wondering how does one change the shutter speed and aperture when shooting in manual mode? Help form anyone?

press the +/- or AV button and turn the command dial simultaneously for changing shutter speed. For aperture turn the command dial without pressing on the +/- or AV button.

MANUAL EXPOSURE - M
1. Turn the control dial to change the shutter speed.

2. Press and hold the exposure-compensation button and turn the control dial to change the aperture.

The operation to change the aperture and shutter speed can be reversed in section 1 of the custome menu (p. 95).

3. Press and hold the AEL button and turn the control dial to shuft the shutter speed and exposure without affecting the exposure.

By default, turning the control wheel in front of the shutter button changes the shutter speed. To change the aperture, do so whilst pressing the exposure compensation button located at the back above the position of the thumb (just like you do exposure compensation in P, A or S mode). The function can be reversed by a setting in the menu. Also, pressing the AE lock button whilst turning the control wheel allows one to change both the aperture and shutter speed without changing the exposure.
As I can swiftly move my trigger finger to and from the shutter without having to reposition my hands on the cam, it is more convenient compared to my film D5 where the exposure compensation button is located left of the lens mount. It is very much more efficient than that for my Lumix FZ10 where I had to press an exposure adjustment button first before I can make adjustments by repeatedly pressing directions on a 4-way switch.

Many who saw your fantastic wakeboard shots will be interested including yours truly.
Unfortunately, I have to wait for my next "welfare cheque" after buying a 5D with the SP200-500.
Didn't know you will be going for the prime.

You can try when we meet up during the F1 UIM shoot but I don't think it will be as sharp as any prime telephoto.
PS: I did not include my name in your list because I plan to go earlier and scout the village, hopefully also shoot a couple of motocross and stunt shots and not sure when I would get over to the other side.

Thanks guys for the info, 5D is really something ...... must seriously consider it as a back-up camera.
