Tele/wide lens 717

Hi,

I am planning to buy tele/wide lens for 717. I just got the quotation from Cathay,

Giottos 0.5 x wide 58 mm converter @S$60.00
Giottos 2 x tele 58 mm converter @S$60.00

I never heard of Giottos, I thought the lens made by Sony

Just did a search in Google and found out Giottos is specialized in designing and manufacturing tripod.

Can anyone have experience with Giottos?

Best way is to go to the shop and test yourself. However, most cheap teleconverters have very bad image quality. Sony ones are really good, but you pay for the premium.

Here's a test shot with original Sony VCL-HGD0758 wide angle lens on F828.
