Pls advise.
1. With some shops, you can possibly get instant 1-to-1 exchange within a reasonable period of time. (e.g. 1 month)

2. You can extend warranty.

Default just my 2 cents...

Hi there..
some of my experiences:

Nikon > absolute no no. They go according to your purchase receipt.. They don't even care about the warranty slips that you send in! They don't even have a proper customer base....

Panasonic > This one can... I managed to extend my warranty for a whopping 1 year.. until I sent my warranty in. My set was discountinued, so they gave me a new set of another model...

Sony > Not sure.
Pioneer > Cannot, as their waranty registration form has a expiry date on it... So the most is that you can extend for a while only.

Just my experiences...

Some shopowners tell you to submit only when there's a problem. They also promise to chop the card for you.
