It is, isn't it? I thought I saw W7 twice when I was checking out on W5 at different places.
W5 and W7 are exactly the same except on megapixel. So I guess most people, at least here on this forum, bought and discuss about W5 instead of W7. Anyway, doesn't make any difference whether the topic is abt W5 or W7, since their functions are the same. |

Yes it is. Saw a group of HK tourists grabbing several sets at Cathay Photo on Saturday. It is basically the same as the W5 except for high pixel which allows you to crop a portion of your picture and develop as 4R or 5R size with high clarity.
However, was told that due to the high pixel, write times caused some delay and high battery consumption as well. If your prints are no more than 8R, W5 would serve your purpose well. Michael |

The W5 and the W7 were introduced together in Feb/Mar 2005. Both are great cams as I bought the W1 just after the intro of the W5/W7 at a steal. But after a month, sold it off as I wanted another with Image Stabiliser as I typically use with the flash most times to get natural lighting.
But the Sony is a great cam. That is something I cannot deny and am now looking for something similar for the wife as she wants one that runs on AA batteries and not too bulky. |
