Same as the posting from Nikon forum..
" Pic Taken By D70s Seem Dark.... " - Realized that KM5D exposure is better if you set the metering mode from multisegment (default) to center weighted metering.. Color not as saturated/bright as Canon.. frankly I like Canon's color.. But after looking at KM colors from outdoor shots.. I think KM color is OK.. yeah different from Canon but more accurate... Take a look at this photo from KM5D.. It looks dark.. for Canon, it'll be bright and colorful.. comsumer digital cameras are meant to be that way, very colourful shots.

Dslr will need to do a little bit of post processing for pics straight out of the camera. The pics may look a little duller but it is more tweakable, and ultimately you can get better pics out of it. Slight under exposure is conservative but ok, since blown highlights on digital tend to look washed out.
