Hiee Pals...
THis may be discussed before....but i just realised that the 28-75mm (D) has focus ring that turns in different direction from usual Minolta lens. Usually the KM lens manual focus ring has the infinity to the extremem right....but for the 28-75(D) the infinity is on the left and the close distance in on the right....hahah.... How has it affected me...: a)- Well, i ocassionally turn the lens ot infinity focus before turn of the camea on the 7D to allow optimal start up time. haah...with this difference, i end up turning to close focus instead. b)- When doing macro, i usually do in manual focus and turn the ring to close focus, so for this one...need to go opposite direection.. rgds, sulhan Last edited by sulhan; 3rd September 2005 at 10:49 PM. |

It's basically a matter of mirroring the barrel components, but it was probably not worth the effort ![]() |

Looks like they juz do not want to make a new mold for the the plastic parts, to suit the KM legacy styling... Maybe KM is juz too small a volume compared to the rest combine... rgds, sulhan |

I seldom use manual focus, and i didn't notice that the 28-75's ring was reversed. guess it didn't affect me much.
as long as the zoom ring stays. ![]() |
