wow... thanks for ur recommendation reiv, but with the purchase of the FZ5 and the tripod alone, it's going to be $740..! I just checked BargainCity's website, stated as such:

    Panasonic FZ5
    FREE 512 mb SD card
FREE extra 256 mb SD card
    FREE Panasonic Case
    FREE Extra OEM Battery
    FREE Cleaning Kit
    FREE Large Tripod
Optional extra 2 years warranty at S$65.00 nett (covering service and parts)
Upgrade 512 mb SD to 1 Gb card for extra S$60.00 excl GST

    all for $739!

do u all think it's more worth it, and "safe" to buy from them now that they've an actual store at Bishan Junction 8?

    that's a pretty good package...
if you really want the camera, should not be so "giam" lah...
deprive yourself of enjoying the camera earlier for a few dollars..
in fact, the normal retail price is $799 with only free 256MB card and case, so you already saved alot liao...come on and join the FZ5 club...we are waiting!!

wide angle are used for shooting wide views...i.e. in cases where your normal wide is unable to filll the screen, eg..large group photos, etc. yes, the plastic adapter can sustain the the WCON7 as I have done it before. only problem is the flash. you can't use it as the lens block the bottom half of the flash. you will need to use an external slave flash...

    Hi reiv,
i thought ppl recommended getting hoya +4? is it really bad? because of distortion or issit the quality of the photo? with nikon 4t or 6t, i think fz5 would require a step up ring right? newbie here......pls help

depends on ur preference.. hoya +4 is cheap but its not up to my standard...
    with 4t u'll require a step down. with 6t u'll require a step up
