Default Canon 450D fungus growth - possible to sell?

    Hi,

I got a Canon EOS 450D a couple years back as a gift but as I hardly used it, fungus started growing. I checked with the Canon Customer Care Centre on repair cost - though I can't remember the exact cost, I remembered it was rather costly for me then so I decided not to. They told me it was fungus growth on the mirror. Now it might have spread onto the lens...

I am planning on selling it since I don't wish to use it anymore. But I'm not sure on how much I can sell it for. Any suggestions on what I should do?

    Thanks in advance!

    possible, but dirt cheap.

if the buyer would to send the camera and lens for cleaning, and it cost him $250 (that is very conservative estimation), he can always top up another $100 to look for another 450D without visiting the service centre.

Do state clearly that the camera has fungus growth. Remove the lens and take pictures of the inside and the rear of the lens to show how serious the growth is. That will give a clear picture of the situation.
The price can't be high.. at most 50% of the going rate for any clean camera. For someone with DIY genes it might be a good offer, still.

Convert to infrared? The filter will be replaced, and since the camera will be dismantled, the sensor will be cleaned
