Are there any 5D/7D owners who also has the Minolta Program 3500xi flash unit? If so, how well does the 3500xi work with either SLR?
What about the Tamron AF Aspherical LD 1:3.5-6.3 28-300mm zoom lens? If anyone has one of these babies, how does it perform with AS, etc.? |

Works perfectly. Just like any normal lens.

Thanks for the replies. One out of two ain't bad, I suppose. I've got a couple more Minolta AF lenses so they should work as well. Pity about the 3500xi ... looks like I'm gonna have to pick up a new flash unit with the 5D. Any recommendations between the 3600HS and 5600HS? Do both work really well with the 5D/7D?
Oh yes, anyone know if the Minolta Remote Cord RC-1000 works with 5D/7D? The system chart states RC-1000L or RC-1000S. |

we would of course recommend the 5600HS, you get more control and its more powerful than 3600.
RC-1000L = Long RC-1000S = Short |

Just had a thought
... haven't tried this yet, but does anyone know if the 3500xi would work with the 5D/7D using wireless? If so, then I may pair it up with a 5600HS when shooting macros, etc. |

I had tried using 5400xi with my 5D, set the fllash output to 1/16, and it works well. The wireless remote doesn't work.
