Default Minolta 100mm F2.8 Soft Focus

Hi,

Anyone have any review for this lens? Sulhan? What settings do you normally set to get the effect you like? Settings 2 and 3 might be too strong isnt it?

Hi Paul,

You can actually use the lens in any position out of the "0" position all the way to "3".
Its not neccesarary that you use the preset 1,2,3 position.

I really love the soft focus effect of the lens. At "0" ohh.....its sharp too. COlors are vibrant and bright.....i like it.

I think TK have 2 - if you got one form them than they might have one more.

rgds,
sulhan

Hi Don,

Haha! I bought the last piece at TKFoto as I could not resist when I heard the price! :P I heard that Sulhan also bought the 2nd last piece there! Its a lens I feel I would use as I am into portraits mostly... Here is one of the first test shots I did last saturday, i think with setting '1', if I am not wrong... Wow, Sulhan, thanks for the tip, I thought initially that I can only use it at preset settings, know I know I can increase or decrease the effect in smaller increments...

Alamak, I like portraiture too! no more left I presume?
What's the price you paid for? If I know the price for brand new, I could gauge how much its worth to buy the next time I found one. You can PM me on this too if you do not wish to reveal.

Cheers!
