Default A1 Problem

Hi, took out my A1 last night to play around...but when on the lcd show only black fuzzy screen~~ same for EVF... when i press menu still can see the menu... so it is the sensor error?
if go repair how much???
the service center at funan?

Sounds like a major breakdown, email them to check but I would say you are looking at about 400 and above if it is the board prob. Might as well dump it an get the Dynax 5D.

Good chance CCD died. Replacement CCD cost approx ~250 b4 gst.

Look at my posting below. You are not the only one that have this problem. Quite a number of A1's CCD failed prematurely (around 1 over year). Was also discussed in Dpreview forum. Got quite a bit of email x-change with KM customer service. In the end, I have no more blood to vomit. Changing of the CCD with the AS is $250 (w/o GST). Good luck. Let me have you e-mail if you want to know the detail of the email x-change. I can forward to u.

I already got a 7D...but thought of keeping the A1 as spare.... can take some short video shots...who knows...
and luckly i also never sell to forumers...imagine they just bought it and within a few months become like tt ~~

dunno want to repairs anot leh~ I hope our 7D wun have this problem !!!!

i guess only time can tell~~....
in 1 to 2 years time....
if our 7D start failing...one by one...

Well, but do you think the camera still takes picture? If it does, at least it still functions as a normal camera, without the preview/review function.
