860 from CP
830 from MS Color (never ask got GST anot) all prices quoted are based on cash payments. I am very very tempted to buy this lens as it's relatively fast (though not as fast as Canon lenses with USM) but it doesn't work well with E-TTL (II). |

Think buy f2.8 better, faster but pocket will suffer.

As for the other Sigma with f3.5-5.6mm, you get good sharpnes only from f6 and beyond. That's where the bulk of the good $$$ goes to the f2.8 variant. Besides, it's f2.8 throughout. Not bad at all for a walk around lens. Before you consider the cheaper lens, you might want to compare it to Canon kit lens first which you can get at ~$80 second hand but almost new ones. |
