Hi guys, thinking of buying a EOS 1n or EOS 1v. Anyone of you own them personally? Care to share your experiences with the camera in terms of weather sealing? E.g What kinds of situations have u been in and the camera was still functioning properly? Also, i heard that that the weather sealing on the 1v is better. In what way? I'm buying this because i need a weather sealed camera, already have a 350d for normal conditions, but need this film one when in wet situations.

i just saw a brand new set 1n selling at mustafa for about $2499 thereabouts. But you can get a used one much cheaper in second hand dealers or n B&S section.

I currently shoot with the 1vhs and that is one EXCELLENT camera in terms of automation and design.
10fps, with a possible 12 when i used 2500 batts, weather sealing that's out of this world, and excellent software to go with it for all the custom functions u could ever dream of. Only complaint would be the lack of a manual rewind lever which would help if your camera dies suddenly. |

Hi lucky ppl that uses 1 series slr,
Do you print your pics at 'most' labs or do you go to pro labs - since most non-por labs cannot print 100% of the exposed area? Or do you compose looser to compensate for the printing crop factor? Sorry Bryan831 for hi-jacking your thread. DT ![]() |

If you need a weather sealed film camera, go for 1V, but what about your lenses ? are they weather seal ? why not just simply buy a camera raincoat (from Nikon) to solve the problem?

Go for 1V. If you want an EOS 1n than should go for EOS 3.

If your budget is above 2K, a used 1D Mk1 might be a worthy consideration. Weather sealing similar to the 1V. Factor in the cost of film and processing, it might be cheaper in the medium term.
Most users of this camera speaks well of the colors from this camera. Cheers, |

I think a used 1V or 1N should be ok cos new ones are not worth it. TCW sells 2nd hand 1V for $1000+, 1N at $650. EOS 3 also have at $900, with grip slightly over $1k.
