When using spot focus or high speed area single focus, how do i get focus subjects off center?

ya. I'm doing that too but when taking sports, that method is quite slow. Any other way? would using continous focus solve the problem?

sports wise, i use CF, then i sorta point and shoot. without half press. works very fine, coz AF is very fast, can get almost instantaneous shot if using 1 area HS focus..

Just a thought...has anyone tried shooting a fast moving object moving very fast towards you (eg. 100m dash) using continuous focus? If I shoot using burst mode, will the continuous focus continue to focus on the moving object even when the shutter release is depressed during this time?
