Thx lil_princess, will take your feedback into consideration. I've called up the Jiffy salesperson, they will come over to my home for a no-obligation demo.. Hope this will be the end of my ironing woes!

    You are welcome!
Here's my view of the steamer...

    Good points
    1. It takes up little storage space, which is good. U can push it to one corner of the storeroom when you don't need to use it. and its very easy to set up, rather than an ironing board.

    2. It steams the clothes well, as in there will not be creases, unlike using a normal iron.

    3. It can be used on any fabric, dunnit to adjust the heat level, unlike a normal one. So you dunnit to worry about your Raoul crisp white shirt kena a burnt mark. *hehe*

    4. Its faster compared to normal iron.

    Bad points
    1. Sometimes, the hot steam that comes out will heat up your hand. Cos like for example, if you need to iron a long-sleeved shirt, you will need to hold out the sleeves. And you got to be careful, if not will kena burn.

    2. It may kinda damp the clothes after ironing, but sometimes the normal iron also makes the clothes damp too.

    3. Very tiring! When your hands gotta go against gravity when you steam upwards. Movements of going up and down tires the hands. I tried steaming clothes for like 2hrs plus, it was tiring....

    4. Normal iron, you need the ironing board right? So at least you can adjust the board to a height, where you can place a chair there and sit, while you iron..... Its good, especially if you have a pile of clothes to iron. But steaming one, its possible to sit on a chair too, but imagine the steam's on your face..... Nah, it sucks, cos its hot!

But still, its up to you. I think you will get the steamer right, since the Salesman is going your house to demo to you, sure you will feel abit pressured to buy la. But one thing to check is how fast the water container has to be refilled. Cos I used one before, that uses up the water so fast, like a "shui tong". Thats no good la.

Hope this helps you in one way or another.

Wei wei wei.... there are still gurls out there who will not mind ironing for her guy...
either because she loves him alot... or second, she fears the possibilities that her guy will burn the clothes, so she rather be the one ironing.
