jus check ur screw thread size under ur cam. can fit can use already its that simple. a few reliable tripod brands r Slik, Manfrotto, Gitzo.

    best 2 get 1 that-
. is up 2 ur eye level wen shooting portrait mode,
. has a quick release (QR) feature
. is not too light & wobbly
    . etc...

wad cam r u using? ur budget range? u can look at d buy & sell forum 2 see if any1 put 1 tripod up 4 sale or not.

weight, hmmm... 1kg plus-minus abit if u gonna stick 2 compact D-cams. Manfrotto & Gitzo likely out of ur budget, try Slik. jus dun get d U-series (had 1 last time, i personally find it not up 2 standard), IMO betta 1s dun hav those horizontal support collar.
