Default Dynax 7D = Maxxum 7

Anybody knows if the above are the same? Similarly, is Dynax 5D = Maxxum 5?

Thanks.

No.
Dynax 7D != Maxxum 7
Dynax 7D == Maxxum 7D
similarly,
Dynax 5D != Maxxum 5
Dynax 5D == Maxxum 5D

Europe/Asia: Dynax
US: Maxxum
Japan: Alpha

Maxxum 5, 7 (and 9) are 35mm film SLRs

The "D" behind the 5D, 7D signifies the digital models.

I'll be moving to the US in a few months time. Considering whether to get cam in sgp or in us due to cost, warranty, amount of things to carry over etc.

There's a US$200 rebate coming up in September in USA for the 7D. Got this off dpreview.com. And for once we are better off than the US in that we already have the 5D in quantities but it's still a trickle over in the US.
