I was quoted $790 before GST or $829.50 with GST.

I dun think so, Gmini400 is not USB-OTG ready, so it's not an USB host. The backup function is by the CF card slot at the player itself.

OT a bit, the MP3 playback is indeed very good on this little thing.

Creative Zen Vision will be launched at Comex 2005. Wonder what is the price and promotional offer at Comex?

Note, epson P2000 can read NEF files, and creative cannot(if I am right). This make
an obvious choice for those raw shooter

You're right. However, if we just want the device to act as mobile image tank (mainly just transfer the RAWs file over, then recycle the CF for more shoots), the Creative one works just fine. Am I right?

For RAW review, it can always be done on the Camera itself

creative one selling $799 in Comex. Thinking of buying it but now not anymore.

I don't like companies who launch product in US at US$399 but launch in Singapore at $799.

Sigh there was a time when people will come to singapore to buy cheap electronics.... now poor singaporeans must go to US and buy ..

I find the built quality of the Epson P-2000 to be very good. Functionally, it surpasses my expectations.

    Cheers,

    Cheers,
But... is the MP3 playback a bit disappointment?

Thanks for sharing your hands on experience

    Cheers,
How is the viewing angle of the P-2000's LCD screen? I read that the image quality of the Zen Vision is superb but only so head-on as the viewing angle is narrow.

Tried out both the P2000 and Zen Vision at Comex today. The image quality of the P2000 is far, far better than that of the Zen Vision and doesn't suffer from narrow viewing angle. Built-in wise, the P2000 is bigger but looked and felt more solid and high-quality.
