More likely than not, now no more already (or completely changed).
Urban renewal here is just too fast. In the early 1970s, Raffles Place/Robinson Road area was full of grand old buildings, looking like Shanghai. By the 1980s, tall skyscrapers had taken over. If you return after a 20 or even 10 year absence, you literally can't recognise the place anymore.

Anyone remembers the 'big bread' of Orchard, Paragon?
    And Promenade?

Katong Park @ Fort Rd -> Katong Park! Just that the area has been reclaimed and the coast line a far distance from the park...ECP (both the expressway and the park) sits on the reclaimed land.

Glutton's Sq -> The Cold Storage Supermarket shown in the photo is the current Centrepoint Shoppping Centre/Robinson's along Orchard Road (near Somerset MRT), if I'm not wrong.

Merdeka Bridge/Nicoll Highway -> Never change, still there, but the 2 lion statues are now residing in SAFTI MI. Merdeka Bridge is just another flyover until the highway collapse last year.

Demolish to build more office spaces (which will just be left vacanted after that).. Do they seriously think that people are going to rent all these office spaces? Look at the condo developments now. Alot of people are holding on to hugh ticket items, not able to save off their properties which they bought (extremely) high.. I was told most condo units are only 60% occupied, with the ulu ones worst! Everywhere I go, I see foodcourts and more foodcourts. I heard enough of people closing up their foodstall less than 3 months.

Everywhere, contructions, contructions and more contructions. Some projects are left uncompleted becos the contractors went bust. And with all these developments, who are they kidding, that the economy is as robust as before?? Ha.

i am afraid too many of such 'old' buildings had been demolished. in the mid 80s, i shot many b/w of north bridge road, odeon cinema, the row of shophouses along orchard road(now occupied by heeren), etc.
