Thanks! I was at comex last nite but didn't make the purchase. The package looks good but the brands of the stuff not included. No time to check the free gift pack out as they were closing. Anyone know what's the brand/model of the package?

Most concern are the CF card, is the tripod strong/big enough for D70s... and where's the $60 print voucher from?

Anyone knows what are the lenses available at the Sigma booth apart from those advertised in the ST? In particular the 50-500mm DG. Do they allow testing?

    Thanks in advance!

Ya, they allow testing on all the displayed lens but mostly are Canon mount.
They also provide a canon 300D and Nikon D70 body for you to test.
You can also use your cam provided the displayed lens is your mount and not worry
    of the dust..
I had tried a few lens today.. .

Opps, forgot to ask about that. The booth was so packed with people, hardly got the chance to ask. I will be going down again tomorrow. Hopefully can make a purchase if there is a last day offer or what. If not, got to wait again.

saw on cnetasia on the COMEX promotion for HP printers...sounds too good to be true about the double cash rebate. The HP Photosmart 8450 is going at $299 instead of $599 after the "Double cash rebate". What is this rebate all about? Any advise from anyone? Thank you.

I was there early this afternoon. They have a good range including the 50-500 DG. I think it was selling for $19XX. Also have the popular 70-200 f2.8 and the 120-300 f2.8 ($3788), all new DG versions.

50-500mm will not give you a good image quality unless you close-down the aperture to f5.6-f8 or more to get better results. Do correct me if I am wrong. Thanks.

I do hope comex do extend few more days as you can see that people can only find time on weekends. But after all, a number of people here like to do things last minute. Do correct me if I am wrong. Thanks.
