    Default Playing DVD-R DL media

    Hi people.

Has anyone tried playing DVD-R DL medias on your DVD player? I have a Pioneer DVD Recorder which supports DVD-R and DVD-RW and I'm not sure it can play DVD-R DL medias ... really hate to take the risk to buy a piece or 2 to try ...

    TIA!

Er most of the DVD video disks are Dual Layer already. Every DVD player should support DL disks.

Actually almost all can read DL discs, the only problem is the media you have may(1%) not be compatible with the player

    Thanks guys!

I just want to check my understanding here ... given that my DVD recorder supports DVD-R and DVD-RW, it means that mine can read (only) DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD+R DL and DVD-R DL?

    TIA again!
