while no tests have been done on non DSLR DCs, Mr. Mustard reckons that it should work equally well on one. Just remember you must be able to set WB manually for the filter to work, apparently. If it doesn't, you can have Mustard for breakfast. Eric |

Honestly, I think it is going to be like red filters used u/w.
I nned to use it myself to be convinced. But to se the WB whenevever you change depth, same filters as others, no biggy lah and I dun think Alex will sell them cheap too. If I rem, it's just a film. Also not sure how many stops will be dropped due to the filter? Eric, u can be our first officer tester! Also cannot be used for DCs anywyay |

Well, the last time I used a red filter, it was WAY WAY WAY too sensitive to light changes... all the custom white balancing ended up with my subject running away. This time round, I am going to design a cap on type of adapter for this filter so that I am remove it just like that when I wanna shoot something else...
I also spoke to alex regarding the filter and though he did not commit that it will work with point and shoots, he did feel strongly that it will.... PS - I am using a A70 with WC DC 700 housing. Until I can afford to get a housing for my D70, this will do for now. ![]() |

As far as I understand, the filter is meant to be used dry inside the housing. So I am just wondering how do you take it out?
How are you going to put the filter in the housing? That is my concern before I buy one and cut it up. |

seriously, i don't haev teh slightest idea how it will fit into the housing. I'll prob cut and paste.
Perhaps u wanna direct the questions to Alex. For SGD55 a pop, i'll just try for the fun of it.... |

yeah... you can just cut it up in a circle and put inside the housing... I bought a red filter from cathay before, cut a nice circle (easier said than done) and stuck it inside my housing, in front of the lens port. when done correctly, the pics turned out not bad...

I looks like just a piece of film.
Too bad Eric, it's not in time for your pool shoot. For me, I will just use my cam CC30M filter with strobe CC30G filter as in what Craig on WP used and tested in Sipidan. Have yet to try it out though ![]() |
