It looks like piece of lint or flash from plastic parts. Just lightly tap the lens on the palm of your hand, it may just move to the side.

Looks like some thread/lint to me...

Fungus will look more like spiderwebs.

I agree with the others - looks like lint. Continue using the lens as usual and eventually it might move hopefully to the side.

It will take some time and use for it to hopefully shift somewhere else. It won't affect your images enough to be noticed, Cleaning it will cost money and there's a possibility the service personnel will do a bad job and scratch your lens or leave more dusty in your lens.

Try shooting with it. If it doesn't appear in your images, I wouldn't bother.

Not sure about Canon, but warranty for most products generally doesn't cover cleaning unless it is related to a inherent manufacturing/workmanship defect...

Canon SG lists their service charges online. Between $64-192.60, depending on the lens and type of cleaning.

From what I've seen of local servicing departments (don't expect a cleanroom or a laminar flow cabinet) you're more than likely to get your lens back with MORE dust. Don't bother.
