Default Rolleiflex 2.8E TLR

Any rolleiflex user here in this forum?
I inherited this 2.8e rolleiflex from my old man.
I must say i am really impress by the precision engineering of this gems.
The taking lens(xenotar) is a beauty too !
I used to see a lot of rolleiflex go on sale in "hot shot" at riverwalk galleria but seems that it has either close shop or shifted away....Anyone have any info ..?

Yes he is selling his stuff on ebay.

Where you intend to send your 2.8E for CLA? My T is also getting sticky on slow shutter speed.

You guy can send your rolleiflex to Prime camera. I believe that they do good camera servicing at a good price. Eg. just clean mine taking lenses for $60.

There cheaper options in ebay. By the time you fix the unknow problems on top of the faults you already knew. You have lost interest in the camera. A good copy will allow you to do wonderful images, a bad one will make you wonder what a fuss about

I saw this Rollei also, the taking lens optic ring is badly damaged due to rough opening to clean the inside of optic. I suspect this lens had fungus inside, hence, the rough opening of the ring. The meter is also not working and shutter jammed.
The seller mentioned 380 because this camera being consigned to him by a camera collector & stated this amount. He cannot go down further.
My estimates for a CLA would be in the region of $150-$200.

Bargain for $10~$50 to use as display or spare parts.
$380 can get a (pse correct me if I'm wrong) Tessar F3.5 liao

Hi everyone!

guess i've missed this thread earlier. well i'm a TLR user too. currently owning 3 TLRs - mainly made in China. Yes you're right! Seagull! I own one Shanghai, Seagull 4A and Mu Dan. Actually I wanted to get a Mamiya C330 becuz it has interchangeable lenses but I'm not too sure abt its selling price in the market. However upon seeing a Rolleiflex 2.8E, I think I can get that one probably at a much cheaper price than Mamiya.

Any idea where I can get a brand new Rollei?
