Talking First Macro Photography

Hey therez. Thought i try out macro phtography...erm psed it alittle however my monitor is not calibrated so (think to you guys it may be not that bright in colour or something)...yupz comments are welcome...

Taken with FZ20, Nikon 6T

Go lower to the eye level if you able to do so in future.

p/s: Can post a bigger image? 400x600 would be ideal.

hey thanks will try going lower the next time. but i wish to ask...do you guys usually take hand held or with a tripod? cos like dun think its possible with a tripod right? or am i missing something here?

No fix rule... some take using tripod, some don't....as long as you get the effect you want, I suppose it don't matter.

Personally, 99% of my shots are taken handheld....the OIS on your camera would help that very much.

To me, a monopod or a tripod will be with me when out for shooting. As tchuanye mentioned, there is no rule, it is very much depends on your model if she is willing to post for you. If yes, tripod, no? monopod or handhold with best stability like leaning onto a wall, tree,... or brace ur elbow onto the floor...etc No fix rule.

Know the sweet point of your exposure setting when handholding. If f8, 1/125s is your best to handhold, try not to go lower than this...etc.

Shoot more and you will learn from that.

ok thanks...ha its really thougher then other photography i think....go so low hand holding...cos i usually take sports and landscape...etc...

oh yah anyway i know how to work my tripod already...i knew there is somewhat this function to go really know for this kinda shoot. ha just too lazy to try it out...but i finally know. thanks guys anyway. will continue to explore macro..
