flash looks okay to me, there is still highlight from the sun. on top of head
but composition wise need work
the foreground disturbs and crop away the blocked flash part

ortega: was thinking whether the right hand branch can work as part of frame, together with the left side branch + the dark part at the bottom.
thanks anyway for the input
btw, the sun shine on its head, that distracting?

ockly: thanks

Hi squalle, your RHS branch means the foreground OOF branch, it doesn't work simply because it is not value added but distracting, blocking the main subject's legs. Unless you have the vignetted image

The sunlight on top is cool though.

Sun highlight on lizard's head is good, shows that your flash is not overpowering and it adds a rim light to the lizard

flash is okay! tho the leave at the bottom left cast a distracting shadow..
i would have liked a more slanted composition tho... to accentuate the tilted head perhaps?
make it look more dynamic like the lizard is ready to move!
now it jus looks like its lazing under the sun
