Once again , the Lantern Display in Chinese Gardens. Time to get your camera and shoot shooot shoot...

Date: 1st September to 25th September 2005
Operating Hours: 5pm to 11pm daily

Quoted from Chinese Gardens Website -
http://www.cjgardens.com.sg/Lantern_Safari/index.htm

This will be Chinese Garden’s 30th year of celebrating Lantern Festival and we are determined to make it our biggest and best show! Filled with over 1100 pieces of lanterns, from big to bigger to biggest, you will be immersed into this animal land with a touch of tradition from the moment you enter our gates!

There are 23 intriguing, exciting, mysterious and heart-warming themes of lanterns that will fill the Chinese Garden during this festival. From the dancing animal orchestras, to the bridge of musical fairies, leading you into the majestic palace of Chang Er, African Savannahs, to the Great Migration, the World of Big Cats and even a safari-styled ride through The World of Carnivorous Plants and Insects and the exhibit of The Revenge of the Living Trees, it will be exciting, educational and fun for everyone!

Hmm, the last time they had fireworks to mark the "opening" of the event...wonder if they are going to do that again?

Try to go during non-peak... peak means more expensive and more crowded... but honestly, its not as good as last few years... I prefer hello kitty and disney. And last year they got a lantern made of bottles with colored water. That was nice.
