but the D1h no upgrade?

don't think the D1h needs a upgrade, as the image files are much smaller (2+ megapixel only) and the present buffer should be enough to handle.

Well, not surprising really, and to be honest, I don't really see the need. Buy a fast CF card, and you'll never really fill the buffer. At least, I never do, and we all know what kind of work I do.

yup, gotta get ready for this, luckily only available in November so got time to save up. No indication of the price though (locally).

Most likely will send it in for the FW upgrade and decide later on the RAM upgrade cos I don't really need it.

What next?

DIMM slots on the cam, that allows users to plug in normal DDR or SDRAM? Or perhaps sodimms, they are smaller.

Even the lousiest memory cheaply avaliable now (PC133s) are more than enough for cameras. 800MB/s, if its PC2100 then its 1.6GB/s.
