There are many trade shows held in taipei, and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council will have free tour packages for visitors during these shows, they will bring u to some of the tourist attraction in taipei which include taipei 101 tour.

Few months ago, i went to the Miramar Entertainment Park tour and took the Ferris wheel...the best thing is, we dont have to queue and can board the ferris wheel straight away. normally pple got to queue for more than 4 hours and pay NT$300 per pax.

i would lean towards slight disagreement on the FE... i feel that the FE would try to put too mcuh focus on the middle and collapse the sides and edges. whereas, part of the stunning-ness of the shot is the wide breath and depth to it. but i suppose it also depends on what you are trying to emphasize in the scene.

but am in full agreement with the "less green" pls.

Wow!! you must be some big shot. We had to queue for the Miramar's ferris wheel too. In the end we gave up and returned back to the coach.

IMHO, I suspect the fish eye lens may push the ray of light further back into the background, and the building in the foreground will be a lot smaller, but don't have a FE to try out the effect.

Let me experiment on the "less green" thingy.

if u follow the tour organise by Taiwan External Trade Development Council, then no need to pay nor queue.

somehow i prefer the previous one... just my own preference though.. the 1st one gives me a more dramatic feel to it.

    cool shot nonetheless!

Defintely, you will cover the entire Taipei.

The latest version of pic 1 doesn't work well. The red brown tinge really doesn't sit well with the rest of the colours. A wider perspective will do wonders for this landscape shot, as well as a more pano style cropping.

the red tinge help to separate the buildings from the sky
but it really depends on what your intention is of course!

Hey, I would think that a full frame fish eye would perhaps add some more feel to the picture, more likely because it will render a surreal feeling to it.

This was taken using the zenitar 16mm with kodak gold 400 pushed to 800 (that's why so grainy) atop Mt Kinabalu.
