    Perhaps something like this? http://photo.stackexchange.com/quest...ith-color-cast

(But usually it's horizontal.. or, well, depends on your shutter & camera orientation)

    * Masters & sifus, please correct me if I'm wrong.

I suspect it's the lighting... Fluorescent light. By any chance you are shooting at a fast shutter speed? e.g. 1/160?

You will encounter more of these when you shoot indoors fast paced events lighted by fluorescent lighting.

Shoot below 1/60 and you shouldn't see this. What you see is the refresh of your light.

Whenever something strange happens: at first check everything outside the camera. Most errors or problems come from behind the viewfinder - and your case is no exception.

it's optical aliasing. your sample rate 1250 Hz and fluorescent flickering rate 60 Hz...

whenever something goes wrong, our first respond is "Not me!"

It's dated from since Adam and Eve. It's hardwired into our gene.

So there's no exception in modern days.

Since our power is 50hz, shooting at shutter speed below 1/100s will solve the problem.
