Yes, they are supposed to burn the offerings on the lunar calendar 14th July, on that day, most shops and hawkers will close early, and you are supposed to stay at home and not going out.

Yes, and you should stock up your sausages for supper on that night. Don't go out.

Is the 14th day over already? I'd like to go around shooting IR on that day.

If you seriously want to do such photoshoots, speak to the boss of the troupes, explain why you're doing the shoot, what you want to shoot and when you would like to come down and shoot. My experience with these troupes is that most don't mind so long you let them know in advance that you're going down, rather then just show up last minute and start clicking away.

Not only would you not offend anyone, but your photos will turn out well, since people are your main subject.

No problem with shooting geitai. just need to ask the organizer first. I have also done some shooting on the offerings (and geitai) and some in lim chu kang chinese cemetery last week at nite.

Thought of going LCK chinese cemetery again at nite to do shooting and haw par villa hall of hell (daytime). Anyone interested in joining?

Sausage, today is the lunar 14th July.
Fyi, in traditional chinese explanation, tonight is the night where all Ghost will wander around, and the Hell will open the door for them to go back after the wandering.

Maybe we should explain what will happen if the wandering Ghost forget to go back to Hell before the door is shut?
