wow! 3 days in a row!
I think you have a better bird's eye view of the whole padang.
From our side, we couldn't see the performance inside padang, only one good thing is the chance to shoot the Guard Of Honour marching in front of us. Will be posting more photos to my site when i have the time. Hope to see your photos taken from 42/44 floors too.

Actually it's my friend who booked the room, 3 more of us went up. End up 4 tripods on the balcony.

on 6th (marina promenade) and 8th and 9th (swissotel) ..i only live there for 1 night
I facing the same direction as you (esplanade view)...

Taken some crappy shots of the mobile column in the morning....

We were at the Raffles the Plaza Hotel, not the "taller" hotel
Come this sunday we shall see we will make that 4 days in a row...

I sort of disagree with you. The photographs are natural enough in exposure. Just my opinion...

I can go for a short trip with S$400....but maybe you can sell the
pix to recover it.. happy shooting on 14th Aug.

mostly set to ISO200, 4 sec, f14 for the beginning.
towards the end (the grand finale), will close up the aperture some more to try reduce over-exposure.
for some dimmer fireworks, open up aperture a bit to try to capture the dim fireworks.
