I saw a thin line from the center focus point down to the bottom of the screen
Do other D50 user have the line. A very worried D50 user, just bought it 2 days |

Hav u tried looking thru e viewfinder w/o e lens attached? If same outcome encountered after doing diz, get it changed asap. If not, something is wrong w e lens... get it changed. |

its completely normal.
its to power up the centre focus box in your viewfinder. look through your manual. its explained iirc. |

Care to share which page of e manual is dat? If u r referring to e troubleshooting page 120, I believe diz is a different situation. |

just looked through the D50 manual.
its not stated in the D50 manual. but its stated on the D70 & D70s manual ![]() |

The line only appear when u power up the camera.
So doest that mean t is normal ? Anyone have this line appearing after power up. U need a white colour background to notice this line |

Downloaded the manuel, see the section, my one thin line is off center dont think is the grid line in the manuel of D70
I think need to call up to confirm |

I have one such line but is from the centre of the viewfinder to the top. Eeeeh I din think too much abt it now that people start mentioning heh heh. think i'd better check out the manual in more discrete detail.

Don't worry about that thin line.
Like what markccm said, its there to supply power to the focus area so that it lights up when you half-press your shutter release button. |

it's is 100% normal.
if you change the focus area, you will see another thin line extending to the newly selected "[ ]"... as already mentioned in earlier, it is to illuminate the selected "[ ]". |

ok i tryed out and figuring the whole nite . Whenever i change a focus point the thin line will appear jointing the focus point.
No more worry now . Thx all |

Oh pleassssse.... This is normal. Almost all the cam body have such thin line, F80, F75, D100, D70, etc.
This is NORMAL ! ![]()

Anyone can get a D50 body w/o kit lens BUT with more cards? HN kit giving 2 SD cards. Got lobang if I dun take kit lens can get 3 cards? |

Hi jamestan i love this camera since this is my first DSLR. It is surely better to handle than a PnS, faster reaction, almost instant startup.
I dont know that there is free 2 piece of card free. I only got a 1Gb sandisk and very big camera nikon bag free. The len is enough for indoor use i mean my HDB flat. I didnt try thr flash so no idea at the moment. |
