aha! gotcha!
AF is dependent on many things, cet paribus - the AF tech: contrast vs phase-detection. latter faster by using stereo vision - AF sensor type: CMOS vs CCD. one is faster can't remember though LOL - AF CPU. obvious. - max aperture of lens: brighter hunt less right? notice all AF is done using max aperture, giving u the bright viewfinder in SLRs. - lens motor speed: if slow cannot move the elements into place fast enough.

So u mean the shopowner told you that C4040z is no longer on sale in singapore meaning no more stock coming in ? As for the 4000z, you mean to say they sell for $755? ......come with a 32mb M.card ? or ? |

as for the 4040z.... if you have maybe a few hundred dollar more to spend you might consider it for it's BRIGHT lense... but if you really have more cash to spend can always wait for 5050z.... which should have non of the problems of 4000 / 4040 / 5000.... |
