Wah... your regular outing at Sentosa BP? They give you complimentary entry or not, for going there so often. Nice composition on the first shot of the Leopard Lacewing. You need a bit more fill-flash on the pair of mating Papilio peranthus.

Default Thank you, Papilio

ya, I goes there regularly.
The aunty at the counter always gives me discount as a regular visitor.
By the way, thank you for your comments.
The #2 was shot without fill-in flash because of setting "auto" flash under bright daylight
It is an extreme lighting condition I think, anyway, I'm always no good in taking black objects. quiet often it is under exposed.
Cheers,
Patrick Ho

That's good. They used to have a volunteers' programme there, where volunteers help to do landscaping and general maintenance of the place, breed caterpillars and so on. (Something like the Zoo docents) The volunteers get complimentary entry, I believe.

Next time I want to go there to shoot butterflies, I'll inform you and we can go together.

Thanks for sharing your shot. Very sharp and nice vibrant colours! Try to give a bit more space between the butt's wingtip and the edge of the frame.

Happy National Day!

These fellows was very active that day (spotted three of them altogether) at noon.
flying from flower to flower and stopped for only seconds.
I was lucky to have this shot taken close to perfect and I accept your comments it a bit tight and too close. anyway, it is an original without cropping only resize for uploading.
I will be trying once more time next visit.

Patrick Ho
