Try this
http://www.photo.net/equipment/nikon/35-2/ Remembered reading somewhere in CS that some guy uses it as his walk about lens. Mine is the 50/1.4

I have the non-D version (same optics, I think) and love it. It's on my D70 all the time and I use it a lot more than my 50mm f1.4 (to the point where i'm thinking of selling it) as it provides a wider angle of view (about 52 mm on the D70 compared to 75 mm for the 50mm which i feel is more suited for portraits).
Small, light and sharp (even wide open), what more can you ask for? |

This is simple. For film users: The std lens is the 50mm be it f/1.8 or f/1.4 versions.
But for Digital users, due to the 1.5x crop factor, the 35mm f/2. becomes a very good walk about lens. ![]()

This lens has a persistent oil on the aperture blades problem. It is apparently a design error and has not been corrected. Nikon will not acknowledge the problem.
http://www.nikonians.org/cgi-bin/dcf...rum=DCForumID6 Mine has the problem even though I bought it new from Cathay in 2003. |

Can this lens (35mm f/2D) be used reversed for macro?
Wil it gv a 1:1 output? |
