do you know of any spot where we can get good shots for sure? hee..if there's one, we can all go there and shoot then....heh... will it be too near ah?

the other time I know a lot of photographers were actually stationed at the bridge linking Esplanade to the Merlion there...got a good view there I think...

my younger brother was on a bridge but didn't know the name and he got a very good view too but heard it was infested with a lot of people...his shots almost got black buns appearing from the bottom...keke...

I was at Carnival last sat....last min no time to go to the bridge & I just stay in the concert area....and suck...half of the fireworks were block by the stage itself...wrong move...will post mine 1 of my shot later if have time...most of the time I just take video instead of pic...using W1...as compare to Singapore firework...is not so nice...very slow motion...look like 10 year ago firework nothing special...just my view

Your cam is good enough. All you need is a tripod to hold it steady.

does your camera has manual override? that means you can adjust shutter speed and as well as aperture size. You need to set to a low shutter speed...high resolution too so have to have a 256Mb card at least...wideangle I'm not so sure...I think no need la...but better to ask others too...hee....

ya man! tripod too! pai sey..forgot about it..hee..if you have a remote it'll be good! cuz even with tripods, when your finger presses the shutter-release button right, there'll be shakes too...so minimal, you can't feel it and you'll only notice it when your photos turn out ugly lor...keke...

    Oh the staircase is at...

U noe the construction spot where we go up the usual stairs to face esplanade? Ok, u dun go up the stairs dat way.

U follow the path where all the buses are, which is directly under the expressway, walk along the path which will go AROUND the expressway and den u'll see a flight of stairs there.

Or u want, u can meet USM and guyz at BK.

If anyone wants to try Marina South, we can try it at the final outing for SFF next Sunday on 14th. How?
